John at Pescadero Marsh

This looser California landscape shows my husband standing at the edge of the marsh, looking out toward the hills. The washes stay open and the details soft, letting the grasses, water, and distant slopes suggest more than they describe. It was used to promote his business, a personal view of the coastal landscape he knew well. I kept the handling light so the figure and the place would feel connected rather than posed.
