The Work

Original watercolors that explore light, color, and quiet moments of observation, from intimate still lifes to open landscapes. To inquire about available works, commissions, or pieces in the artist's collection, write to anne@annenygren.com.

Glass and Light

Light moves through glass and water in these still lifes, illuminating flowers held in jars and vases: wedding bouquets, windowsill gatherings, and quiet domestic moments captured in transparent color.

Close Up Work

These intimate studies focus on subtle shifts of white, form, and color, inviting a closer look at the quiet structure and softness within the subject.

Desert Blooms

Desert plants in bloom (cactus flowers, yucca, and cholla) rendered with attention to their vivid color, sharp forms, and the surprising delicacy of desert life.

Landscape

These landscapes range from closely observed detail to looser, more impressionistic handling, depending on the place and the light. I’ll be turning next to Texas and to our house in Lost Pines, capturing the particular textures and seasons of that landscape as I settle into it. For now I’m beginning with three earlier works that show the range.
