Mason Jar Wedding Bouquet #1

This watercolor captures a lush country-wedding bouquet overflowing a clear mason jar, its white chrysanthemums, sunflowers and broad green leaves loosely arranged against a deep background that makes every petal glow. The humble glass jar itself—tied with a soft ribbon and revealing the stems inside—turns an everyday object into a romantic centerpiece. A florist's remark that arrangements just like this are favored for country weddings immediately inspired me to freeze that casual, heartfelt elegance in paint before the flowers faded. The result is less a formal still life than a celebration of the simple heartfelt beauty of two people vowing lifetime commitment.
