Wedding Bouquet

This painting moves in close enough that the mason jar disappears and only the flowers remain—white chrysanthemums, speckled alstroemeria, and warm sunflowers crowding the frame. What I love about working this way is how the near view reveals the quiet magic of each petal edge, each pollen-dusted center, and the soft overlaps of color that disappear at a distance. I painted it because getting this near feels like the best way to honor the flowers themselves: not as a formal arrangement, but as living, luminous things full of their own small wonders. The result is less a bouquet portrait than a private invitation to look more carefully.
