Mason Jar Wedding Bouquet #2

This companion piece continues the country-wedding series with another abundant arrangement of white chrysanthemums, golden-yellow blooms, and generous green leaves spilling from a simple mason jar. What sets it apart is the slightly cooler light on the glass and the way the dark background pushes the pale petals forward, giving the bouquet a quiet luminosity. I painted it for the same reason as the first: the florist’s observation that these unpretentious, mason-jar arrangements are the ones people actually choose for country weddings. I wanted to hold onto that relaxed, heartfelt beauty a second time, before the flowers were gone, while giving it a subtle spiritual dimension to reflect commitment.
