Woodside Stream

A more detailed woodland scene, this one follows the stream as it moves through tall trees, fallen logs, and moss-covered rocks. Light filters through the canopy, picking out the water and the green undergrowth while the trunks remain dark and vertical. I painted it for the sense of enclosure and quiet movement the place holds—the way the stream keeps working its way forward even when the forest seems still.
